Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

OK, on-time performance went up and they're handling baggage better. Hmmm, oh I see. Flights have been pared from the schedule. Less takeoffs and landings overall, less congestion so more planes takeoff and land on time. Handling baggage better? I'll bet there are fewer bags to deal with as folks are carrying-on more so they don't have to pay fees. Oh, and there are less flights.

The whole things is a bunch of BS. Sort of when the economy is in the dumper and there is high unemployment. You'll hear bantered about, "Worker productivity is up for July." Well duh, less people, same work equals higher worker productivity.

Wow, now who would have expected this to happen? Amazing, simply amazing. How about putting together a government panel of experts to analyze this incredible turn of events. Of course we'll have to fly each of the panel memebers and their immediate family members to each operating hub throughout the world to see for themselves the effect of high cost fuel, fewer flights, fewer passengers are having on the industry. "Holy batmobile Robin, we've got to get to the bottom of this".
